The final push to Uhuru Peak begins at midnight, offering trekkers the unforgettable experience of summiting at sunrise. Following the summit, the descent takes you through Mweka Camp, where the atmosphere is celebratory, and the forested surroundings provide a peaceful end to the trek. The journey concludes with a return to Arusha, where trekkers receive certificates of achievement.

Trekkers often arrive at Machame Camp in the late afternoon, with tents already set up by the support team. The evening at Machame Camp typically involves settling into your tent, enjoying a hot meal prepared by the camp cook, and relaxing in the cool mountain air. The camp’s elevation offers the first real taste of higher altitude, making it an important point for acclimatization. As night falls, the temperature drops significantly, and trekkers can often witness the forest canopy shrouded in mist, adding to the ethereal beauty of the camp.
